An annual two-day event in May that draws over one million people, the festival stretches twenty blocks, from 37th to 57th Streets. The avenue's restaurants and food shops offer a tempting variety of international dishes and treats. |

It's the cool place to be. Friends and neighbors enjoy a summer's evening musical entertainment as the JazzMobile makes its annual stop in Hell's Kitchen. Hosted by the West 47/48th Streets Block Associations, this year's JazzMobile artists included Bertha Hope, Carline Ray, Paula Hampton, and Gwen Cleveland. |

GREENMARKET

There's "a Rose in Spanish Harlem," and there's a Greenmarket in Hell's Kitchen, at the corner of 57th Street and Ninth Avenue. Fresh fruits, vegetables, and flowers, as well as jams, preserves, and baked goods -- all from nearby farms -- are for sale. The Greenmarket is open year round, every Wednesday and Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. |
