The Heart of Hell's Kitchen is part of an ongoing series of walking tours for the Web developed by exploreNYC. It was written and designed byJoAnne Chernow and Jane Buchanan, with research help from Polly Bookhout, chief librarian of Columbus Branch Library in Hell's Kitchen; and Joe Zito, a Hell's Kitchen resident who conducts walking tours of many New Yrok CIty neighborhoods.
